My Forest Child is a planned carbon offsetting service that channels funds towards resourcing reforestation activities, strengthening vulnerable communities, and supporting child/youth-led climate and environmental campaigning.
The Project Coordinator is responsible for day to day management and coordination of the My Forest Child project during its pilot phase, ensuring effective planning and successful implementation of relevant activities in participating countries (initially Nepal and Pakstan) and relevant regional and country teams.
Under the supervision and strategic direction of the Regional Advocacy and Campaigns Director - Asia, the Project Coordinator’s responsibilities include working closely with relevant project focal points and other key Save the Children staff to prepare and implement project plans, including monitoring and when necessary updating timeframes and budgets for projects. The Project Coordinator will also liaise with Save the Children staff in member or global offices as well as external consultants and organisations as necessary.
The postholder will perform various coordinating tasks, such as time and risk management, along with administrative duties, including maintaining project documentation and handling financial and administrative queries. To succeed in this role, the postholder should have excellent time management, collaboration and communication skills.
Ultimately, the Project Coordinator will ensure that all activities are completed on time, within budget and meet high quality standards.
